About Us

TEAM Survivor is a dynamic and diverse group of women who are committed to being thriving survivors, helping others to do the same, and comforting those who aren’t.  TEAM Survivor California formed in 1998 and our San Diego chapter formed soon afterwards offering yoga, walking and triathlon training.  The dragon boat paddling program began in 2008.  We are a volunteer run non-profit organization with 501c3 status.  Help us bring our sense of camaraderie and new beginnings to other women in need.  Whenever you visit your doctor or you hear about some friend in treatment, talk about TEAM Survivor San Diego!  Listed below are our primary objectives and purposes:

To provide exercise, physical recovery, fitness, health education, and support programs for all women affected by cancer.

To act as a support group for women seeking a non-traditional setting to talk with other cancer survivors.

To serve as an information and referral resource on the topic of exercise and cancer.

To raise awareness and visibility of the capabilities of people with cancer.

To sponsor special events to raise awareness of the benefits of exercise programs for people affected by cancer.

To be available as a patient referral resource for individuals working in the medical and cancer community.
